Awards Ceremony

Uniformed Firefighters Association Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday April 27, 2010.  Twenty-one members of the Department received awards from Mayor Adam Schneider along with the Public Safety Director for actions taken at three separate incidents in 2009.

21 members of the Department received awards.

Members of Division 3 F/F Parnell, Barham, Cattelona, and Slattery, as well as F/F's Gray, Brand, Joyce and Pasquariello receive commendations from Mayor Schneider for operations during 2nd Alarm High Rise Fire at 787 Ocean Avenue

F/F Spezio, F/F Phillips, F/F Mazzie, Chief Ciaglia recieve unit citation for the extrication of a victim pinned between the train and platform.

Lt. Rowell, F/F Guzzi, F/F Pasquariello, F/F Griffin receive a Merit 2nd class Exceptional Duty Ribbon for the technical extrication of a person trapped between a train and the station platform on August 15,2009

F/F James Cook, Lt. Douglas Rowell, F/F Armand Guzzi receive a Unit Citation from Mayor Schneider for actions taken at 3rd alarm high rise fire on September 27, 2009.

F/F Carl Griffin receives award from Mayor Schneider for the rescue of an occupant from the 3rd floor hallway of 717 Ocean Avenue.

F/F Migliccio and F/F Damiano receive award for assistance in rescue of a victim from the third floor balcony of a high rise fire at 717 Ocean Ave.

F/F Kevin Hoy receives an award from Mayor Adam Schneider for the rescue of a trapped occupant from the 3rd floor balcony of a high rise building at 717 Ocean Ave.
