Zone 6 is commonly known as "Uptown". Engine & Truck #6 cover the uptown area of the city, which is comprised of numerous businesses, restaurants, banking establishments, 4 Nursing Homes, as well as the city's High School and Middle School. These area's are covered by 1- firefighter working a 24 hour schedule, manning 2 pieces of apparatus. Engine #6 covers 10 zones thru-out the city & Truck #6 covers 5 zones. Out of the 19 zones the city has, these 2 pieces of apparatus handle 15 zones, with 1 firefighter ,who takes the proper piece of fire apparatus, depending on the zone and type of incident!
