At 0730 Hours on Thursday Morning, December 17th, 2009 ,The City of Long Branch Fire Department ( UFD Tour #1 ) was dispatched to #245 Atlantic Avenue-The Pleasure Bay Apartments for a report of a working structure fire. First  Responding Units were Engine # 4, Engine # 9, and Truck # 6 acting Truck # 4 on arrival Truck # 6 requested a 2nd Alarm for  working fire on the first floor with auto exposure into the 2nd floor windows of a  2 story  brick Garden Apartment complex.

Engine  # 4 stretched a 2 1/2 inch blitz line into the fire building ,as Engine # 9 sustained a water supply via a 5 inch line to a manifold, during the process Truck # 6 acting Truck # 4 laddered the roof to prepare for a trench cut of the roof , because of the common attic with fire traveling the ridge pole. time on scene was approx. 2 hrs, Fire is under investigation by The City of Long Branch Fire Marshall's Office & The City of Long branch Police Department.
