February 20, 2011: Members of tour 4 had heavy fire on arrival on the exterior bravo side attached garage. An aggressive attack and proper hose line placement contained the fire to the garage with minimal extension into the occupied dwelling.

Aggressive truck work and disciplined line placement saved this house.

F/F Butch Guzzi #159 and F/F Ken Carrol open up the roof.

Members open up to expose fire running the soffit area as Chief Ciaglia looks on. Notice the Bravo side wall. The exterior combustible finish (vinyl siding) is completely burned away. This siding contributed to a tremdous smoke condition on arrival.

Aggressive overhaul and proper line placement contained the fire to the garage area. Two 1 3/4" handlines where stretched and placed into operation.

F/F Butch Guzzi #159 begins to open up additional holes to expose hidden fire.

Ladder 4 positioned on the Alpha side of the building.

During the fire the power line burned away causing an additional hazard to members operating.
