Welcome to Long Branch FMBA Local 68

To proudly serve the public with integrity, protecting life, property and the environment through prevention, education and response, with a professional and dedicated workforce.

Training

The members of the Uniformed Fire Division strive to keep up with not only the basics of firefighting, but also the latest technologies in the fire service field to better protect the public.  Many of the skills that firefighters perform are what may be considered “perishable skills”, that is, if you do not constantly practice those skills, one may forget.  As such, training is a big part of our daily activity.  Each tour led by their Lieutenant conducts company level training at least once a week on various topics of concern.  Whether it is stretching a hose-line, positioning aerial apparatus, or training with technical rescue equipment, the Department leadership can count on a very well rounded firefighter, greater fire-ground or emergency scene efficiency and the most important factor, enhanced fireground safety for all members.  Members of the Uniformed Fire Division also work in conjunction with the Volunteers to provide joint training as well as monthly drills on a Department level.
