The Long Branch Fire Department continues to keep pace with the changing demographics of the City.  In 2008, the Uniformed Fire Division was consolidated into two of the City’s busiest firehouses, increasing the efficiency of the Department as well as enhancing firefighter safety through the deployment of sufficient manpower and equipment on each emergency response.   The average response time from the time the alarm is received to time of arrival is less than three minutes, an impressive response for a Department answering on average 1,700 emergency fire calls per year.
